November User Group Meeting


Hello All,



 



Due to the low number of registrations for the User Group scheduled for 1-2 November, we have decided to reduce the session to 1 day.  



 



The User Group will now be just 1 day and will be on Thursday, 1 November.



 



Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.



 



Background:



 



Historically one of the main methods for communication between SMSS and clients has been the User Group. The mid-year User Group this year was well-attended and the feedback suggested this was a useful session. The feedback identified the most important value users derive from the User Group being the opportunity for:



 



-          Users to communicate to SMSS their feedback on SMSS service/deliverables and current/future needs;



-          Users to hear from SMSS about SMSS product/service status and plans, and also technical insights and information;



-          Users to be able to discuss with each other issues/questions/ideas regarding Artena and the broader business process it is used within.



 



Following the mid-year User Group, we have embarked on the development of the new product to replace Artena. This has involved a lengthy process of consultation and collaboration between SMSS and client representatives. We have had great representation in this process from over 40 subject matter experts from nearly all our clients. The SME sessions have also been a good opportunity for site representatives to learn from other attendees.



 



We suspect the low level of registration for the November User Group may in part be due to this relatively high level of ongoing communication and activity between users and SMSS that is happening as part of the new product development process. In other words, at least some of the value to users that the November User Group would have offered is being delivered by other means.



 



Excellent service and effective communication to clients/users is one of our top priorities. The User Groups will continue to be an important aspect of our business relationship with you. We want to ensure that the considerable investment in time and money for both clients and SMSS that a User Group involves is well worth it. In this instance, with only 4 registrations for Day 2 of the User Group, we do not believe it is worth holding Day 2.



 



Instead, we will condense the programme to 1 day – Thursday 1st November. The Agenda will be confirmed in a separate email.
